Job summary

Astoics-based position with Astec seeks a procurement professional to support production by ordering materials and services, tracking vendor performance and ensuring timely delivery. You will interface with manufacturing and engineering and maintain supplier data.

The role requires 2+ years of clerical experience, familiarity with Word/Excel/Outlook, ERP systems, and BOM interpretation. Industry knowledge and blueprint reading are valued for success.

Qualifications

• Associate of Arts degree from a two-year college or technical school.
• Minimum 2 years of clerical experience.
• 2+ years’ experience with Word, Excel, Outlook and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of BOMs and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions or orders within purchasing authority.
• Discuss defective goods with relevant personnel to determine source and action.
• Monitor shipments and ensure on-time delivery; trace undelivered items.
• Communicate with Manufacturing, Engineering and other departments.
• Plan orders and schedules to match production build and JIT needs.
• Distribute updated drawings to suppliers as needed.
