Job summary

Morbark LLC in Winn, Michigan is seeking a Buyer I to perform day-to-day purchasing activities supporting production and material availability. You will create and manage purchase orders, liaise with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining ERP records.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree or equivalent experience, 0–2 years in purchasing or supply chain, and ERP familiarity. Manufacturing experience is a plus; strong attention to detail and cross-department collaboration are

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 0–2 years purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• ERP experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and manage purchase orders in the ERP system with accuracy.
• Review purchasing requirements and place orders based on production and inventory needs.
• Communicate with suppliers about acknowledgments, pricing, delivery dates, shortages, and past-due orders.
• Expedite materials to support production schedules and minimize shortages.
• Maintain PO data: dates, quantities, pricing, and supplier information.
• Support engineering changes by updating requirements with suppliers.
