Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience as a Buyer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to source, select and manage a diverse supply base.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, approve, and track purchase orders in the Sage MRP system, resolving pricing or delivery issues with suppliers.
• Collaborate with the sourcing team to identify and evaluate new and alternative suppliers.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in the Sage MRP system for automatic re-order points.
• Work with QA to uphold ISO, AS9100, and 13485 purchasing standards.
• Support Finance with reporting and inventory management and participate in planning to reach targets in cost, quality, inventory and delivery.
• Assist with product validation, first article inspection, incoming inspection and source inspection processes.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage all purchasing activities by preparing, approving, and tracking purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in the Sage MRP system, and resolving any issues related to specifications, pricing, or delivery with suppliers.
• Collaborate with the sourcing team to identify and evaluate new and alternative suppliers for specific commodities and custom designs.
• Partner with the production staff to maintain inventory accuracy in the Sage MRP system for automatic re-order points.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to uphold and improve purchasing standards in line with ISO, AS9100, and 13485 regulations.
• Contribute to overall operational goals by partnering with the Finance team on reporting and inventory management, and by participating in planning and decision-making to achieve targets in product cost, quality, inventory, and delivery.
• Facilitate product validation, first article inspection, incoming inspection, and source inspection processes.
• Manage and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Experience as a Buyer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
