You will follow standard procedures, analyze market conditions, issue purchase orders, negotiate contracts, and maintain vendor data. A Bachelor's in Business Administration and 3+ years of related experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures standard purchasing procedures are followed for material and services purchases.
• Analyzes market conditions and trends; sources supply; processes product requests.
• Issues purchase orders and requisitions; seeks volume discounts; drafts specs; solicits bids and compares quotations.
• Maintains vendor lead times, inventory data, commitments, and shortages.
• Updates inventory in the software and generates reports for decision making.
• Examines product usage to select vendors; places orders; negotiates and renews contracts; handles complaints and adjustments.
• Processes and analyzes high-profile contracts with team members.
• Resolves vendor quality issues and tracks performance; initiates programs to improve vendor relationships and customer quality.

Your Responsibilities:

• Ensures that company standard procedures are followed in connection with purchases of material and services

• Analyzes market conditions and trends; explores sources of supply; processes requests for all products and commodities

• Prepares and issuespurchaseorders and requisitions; secures price advantages of quantity buying; composes and edits specifications;solicitsformal and informal bidsin accordance withstandard procedures and compares and analyzes price quotations

• Follows up andmaintainscurrent andaccuratedatabase information, vendor lead times, open purchases,commitments,and shortages

• Updates andmaintainsinventory maintenance within the software system

• Maintains data, preparesreportsand analyzes information using available software in decision-making

• Studiesproductsusage:determinesvendor from whompurchaseswill be made; places orders; negotiates and renews contracts; investigates complaints and secures adjustments

• Processes and analyzes high profile contracts with other members of the team

• Resolves vendor quality issues and tracks and documents results and vendorperformanceInitiates quality programs thatbenefitvendor relationships while improving the quality for customer

Your Qualifications:

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $53,500 to $108,800 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law. Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing. All testing and employment decisions will comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
