Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing/Configuration Data Manager to analyze mBOM alignment with eBOM and support MES integration. You will optimize BOM structures, communicate design changes, and develop automated reporting to enable informed decisions.

This role emphasizes data integrity and cross-functional collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate has a strong background in PLM, data analytics, and BOM management, with Windchill experience and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production configuration, or configuration data management; Windchill and data analytics.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience defining mBOM architecture and managing configuration changes.
• Proficiency with PLM tools, especially Windchill.
• Experience with SQL, Databricks, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems in manufacturing contexts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mBOM flow into and out of the MES.
• Optimize mBOM structure to align with build workflows.
• Track and communicate engineering configuration changes to the manufacturing engineering team.
• Develop and maintain automated queries and dashboards for mBOM and change metrics.
• Assess and improve BOM configuration, metrics, and repeatability from past and current builds.
• Create models and processes to standardize configuration for product development and build strategies.
