Job summary
Merck & Co. is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to support manufacturing and packaging automation. You will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robotics and machine vision systems while leading projects from concept to implementation.
The role requires SDLC and validation experience, change control, and a strong focus on data integrity and cybersecurity within a regulated environment. On-call duties nights and weekends are expected.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting industrial automation in manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on troubleshooting of PLCs and HMI systems.
- Experience with SDLC documentation, change controls and validation activities.
- Strong analytical, communication and project management skills.
- On-call availability during nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for automation systems used in manufacturing and packaging.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robotics and machine vision equipment.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Support integration of new equipment and automation technologies.
- Lead automation projects from concept to implementation.
