Responsibilities include designing automated work cells, improving cycle times, developing cost-effective processes, and managing deployment of systems. Requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and 3+ years in manufacturing; proficiency with PLC, ladder logic, servo control, robotics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in operations/manufacturing environment.
• Fundamental knowledge of control and electrical system design.
• Proficient in PLC control, ladder logic, servo control, robotics.
• Basic understanding of ISO9001 and LEAN.

Responsibilities

• Design and build of automated work cells including concept development, mechanical/electrical design, component selection and control software programming.
• Analyze machining/assembly cycle times to reduce cost and improve delivery.
• Develop cost effective processes and procedures for manufacturing parts/assemblies with production personnel.
• Designate, modify and/or procure equipment to produce parts/assemblies.
• Manage deployment of complex automated systems; develop cost estimates and sourcing solutions.
• Maintain documentation of automation equipment/processes including CAD drawings and standard work instructions.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests and operator training on procedures.
