Job summary

Elanco Elwood Manufacturing Facility is seeking an Automation Engineer to support process controls and maintain SCADA/OT networks. You will work with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering to enhance equipment reliability and compliance in a cleanroom environment.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Engineering or an AS with a technical certificate, has hands-on automation experience, and can navigate Rockwell and other PLC/HMI ecosystems to ensure robust manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

BS Engineering or equivalent with minimum 3 years automation experience.
AS with Technical School Certificate in Industrial Controls or Industrial Electrical fields with minimum 5 years automation experience.
Must have experience with industrial electrical controls including VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, etc.

Responsibilities

Support Operations and Maintenance by implementing improvements and troubleshooting electronics and process automation failures.
Collaborate with Engineering and IT to improve the Automation SCADA/OT network, equipment, and facilities.
Lead or participate with cross‑functional teams to investigate process failures.
Operate within Change Control and Computer System Validation requirements in a GxP environment.
