Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

• Build and repair wooden pallets from freshly cut or recycled wood
• Receive wood from the saw shop and piece it together with a nail gun along set stringers
• Stack finished products by hand for forklift operators to move to appropriate areas
• Follow company safety procedures to ensure personal and coworker safety
• Achieve high quality standards while maintaining a high volume of finished goods

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift wooden pallets which weigh about 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing, experience highly preferred
• Quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, and air particulate
• Repetitively lift up to 50–75 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required, including eye protection, ear protection at several locations, and safety shoes
• Close, distance, and color vision abilities
• Employment is full-time
