Jobtailor in Colorado is seeking a dependable pallet builder to receive lumber, assemble pallets with a nail gun, and prepare loads for forklift movement.

The role requires lifting up to 75 lbs, working Monday-Friday first shift, and strict adherence to PPE and safety procedures. Ideal candidates have lumber/warehouse experience and a keen eye for quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to lift pallets up to 50–75 pounds regularly.
• Experience in lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing preferred.
• Strong hand–eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Able to work in extreme heat, cold, and dusty environments.
• PPE required: eye protection, ear protection at several locations, safety shoes.
• Vision: close, distance, and color vision.

Job description

• Receive wood from saw shop and piece together with a nail gun along set stringers
• Stack finished product by hand for forklift operators to move to appropriate areas
• Build and repair wooden pallets from freshly cut or recycled wood
• Follow company safety procedures to ensure personal and coworker safety
• Achieve high quality standards while maintaining a high volume of finished goods
• Work first shift Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift wooden pallets which weigh about 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing, experience highly preferred
• Quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, elements, and air particulate
• Repetitively lift up to 50-75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths in time
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including eye protection, mandatory ear protection at several locations, and safety shoes
• Close vision, distance vision, and color vision abilities
