Job summary

KX Technologies LLC, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking an experienced press/machine operator to assemble mechanical units and sub-assemblies. You will read simple blueprints, set up equipment, and maintain quality while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

This full-time role requires 1-3 years in manufacturing, ability to read SOPs and production docs, and willingness to work overtime as needed. Equal opportunity employer, located in Connecticut.

• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Train new team members.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Assembles mechanical units or fabricated parts to make sub-assemblies or complete products within routine and repetitive assembly operations. Uses various hand and power tools and operates equipment which may include jigs, dies, fixtures, templates, punch presses, riveting machines, circular shears, and drill presses in order to cut, file, fit, punch, ream, rivet, form, and/or assemble. Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product requirements. Monitors quality of products and raw materials. May read simple blueprints. Performs simple routine maintenance and cleaning. Determines and corrects minor machine malfunctions. Typically has 3-5 years of experience and works under broad supervision. Typical job titles include: Press Operator, Machine Operator, Maker/Packer.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands for fine motor tasks, and reach with hands and arms. Able to stand for an 8-hour shift and lift up to 45 lbs.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.
