Job summary

Hyperion Materials & Technologies Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Associate I to operate a variety of equipment safely and efficiently, producing super‑abrasives and related products while meeting quality and safety standards.

You will participate in LEAN initiatives, perform basic setup and troubleshooting, and support preventative maintenance. A strong focus on teamwork and accuracy will help maintain product quality and process integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Solid work experience in light industrial, manufacturing or military service.
• Ability to use and learn production management tools including LEAN, material management systems, and maintenance of accurate throughput and quality records.

Responsibilities

• Identify and participate in safety initiatives with the team.
• Assist LEAN solutions in manufacturing.
• Safely operate equipment to produce super abrasives and related products.
• Set up and operate automated machinery, presses, lathes, mills, furnaces, wire EDMs, and robotic equipment.
• Handle hazardous chemicals and operate chemical processing equipment.
• Assemble products and blends as required.
• Read and interpret measurement results from gauges, microscopes, and visual standards.
• Support tooling changes, setup, and troubleshooting operations.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance like lubrication and filter changes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to instructions.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Communicate production or quality concerns to technical staff.
