Job Purpose Statement

The primary function of thispositionis for the employee tooperate manufacturing equipment to produceproductsto the required specification at the expected rate of throughput.In addition, the employee willprepare equipment and materials for production,maintainmaterial inventory, andoperategeneral equipment to move products, supplies, and inventory to support production.

Summary of Responsibility for each role
  • Operate heavy manufacturing equipment to produce materials to specificationrequirements
  • Learn and follow standard work for all areas asassigned
  • Evaluate products through visual and dimensional inspection techniques to ensure conformance to tolerance and specifications and address any quality concerns found.
  • Organize,loadand move in process materials and finished products asrequiredtomaintain expected efficiencies.
  • Abide by all safety andquality specifications
  • Operatepowered industrialvehicles
  • Check computer for production schedule and requirements for run(s)
  • Set-up the machine according to specifications.
  • Responsible for cleaning and some maintenance of the machine.
  • Enter information into MRP system asrequired
  • Recognize when routine adjustments are necessary andidentifyerrors at the earliest possible stage to minimize productionrework
  • Maintain a clean and safe workarea
  • Performadditionaltasks asassigned
Qualifications Education, Experience and Skills Required
