Marvin Composites, LLC. in Salem, VA is hiring a Pultrusion Inspector. You will inspect finished goods, prepare shipping labels, and pack products on a 12-hour rotating day shift. Schedule:

• 12hr Rotating Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 6:45 PM
  
  
  
  • Week 1 (36hrs): Sun, Wed, Thur
  
  
  • Week 2 (48hrs): Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat

Pay: $20.00 - $21.55/hr DOE

• Pay potential including $4.00/hr weekend premium & OT: $22.86 - $24.48/hour

Highlights of your role

Pultrusion Inspector - This position inspects finished goods as they come off the manufacturing line, prepares shipping labels, and packs products.

Responsibilities include:

• Operating fabrication equipment


• Monitoring product quality to ensure customer specifications are met


• Preparing equipment/materials for production runs


• Once trained, provide mentoring and training to new associates


• Basic math and computer skills are required

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Outstanding attendance


• An ability to think and learn on the job, effective communication skills and basic computer skills


• Ability to stand, walk, and reach for 12 hour shifts


• Ability to successfully pass a basic skills assessment


• Proficiency in reading and interpreting specifications, a key skill in our production environment

Also want to make sure you have

• Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull various objects weighing between 10lb to 50 lbs to support production needs


• Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years of age


• Experience operating and running manufacturing equipment (PLC Controlled) or willingness & ability to learn
