Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate – Finishing/Bindery with training provided. This full-time nighttime role runs 7p–7a, focusing on feeding, packing, and handling books on a fast-paced bindery line. No prior bindery experience needed—we will train you to operate high-speed equipment.

You’ll join a team that values safety, quality, and reliability, with opportunities to grow as you learn skilled equipment and processes within a long-term printing manufacturing career.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.We’re looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machinery
• in any industry
• (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem‑solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast‑paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
