Job summary

Oetiker is seeking a motivated assembler for the 2nd shift to build automotive quick connectors. You will assemble components such as O-rings and caps, follow procedures, and operate equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.

You will contribute to on-time production, perform leak tests and inspections, and support training of teammates. Experience in light manufacturing and basic computer skills are preferred, with SAP knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus 6–12 months related light manufacturing experience.
• Basic knowledge of computers and handheld scanners.
• Ability to read and follow part procedures and safety rules.
• Commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and company policies.
• Attention to detail and quality control.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift (2:00 pm–10:30 pm) and support a productive manufacturing line.

Responsibilities

• Assemble O-rings, clips, shipping plugs & caps into parts per procedure.
• Read and understand job procedures; operate machines per procedure.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health and environmental rules.
• Conduct leak testing and in-process parts inspection for quality.
• Train manufacturing associates when designated; support production schedule.

Job Description

Salary Range: $38,000 - $42,000

Position Summary

Assembles automotive quick connectors using manual, semi-automated and fully automated processes by performing the following duties:

Essential Functions

• Assembles O-rings, clips, shipping plugs & caps into parts according to part procedure
• Understands the machine and its functions and operate according to the procedure, following all safety procedures
• Reads and understands job procedure
• Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental regulations, as well as company policies
• Conducts leak testing as required by part procedure
• Conducts in-process parts inspection to ensure product quality and completeness
• As designated, trains manufacturing associates in procedures and processes
• Ensures daily production schedule is attained
• Knowledge of Leading2Lean
• Knowledge of SAP
• Maintains a clean and organized work area, in compliance with 5S requirements
• Performs and understands importance of processes in place to ensure machine is running accurately (such as running duds and/or use of gauges)
• Keeps machines running with minimal downtime
• Performs basic repair and setup

Additional Information

This is a 2nd shift position. Regular hours are 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
