Job summary

Assistance Technique Internationale is seeking a Manufacturing Associate in the GFM department at our Richburg, SC facility. You will help ensure our forged billets meet specifications by operating in tasks across pulpit support, rotary forge, charger crane, furnace and heat treat operations, cooling bed, inspections, and sawing.

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Associate in the GFM department at our Richburg, SC facility. As a manufacturing associate, you will play a valuable role in helping ensure our materials and products meet customer expectations. The GFM department is responsible for safely producing a forged billet (a cylindrical piece of solid metal) to the diameter our engineers have specified.

As a manufacturing associate, you will be responsible for processing material by operating in the following functions: assisting in the pulpit, operating the rotary forge, charger crane operator, furnace and heat treat operations, cooling bed operator, inspections, and saw operator. A successful candidate should demonstrate an eagerness to learn, showing initiative, commitment to teamwork, and attention to detail.

The training shift will be 5 days, 10 hours Mon - Fri ; 6:00am - 4:00pm. This position will go to Hybrid Team, B or D Team once training is completed. B and D Teams are the 21 Turn Teams.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of tasks to assist in set-up and running equipment
• Identify material coming into the department
• Maintain logs and records
• Follow prescribed safety regulations
• Maintain accurate, complete, and legible logs, records, and charts
• Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and cranes

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least one (1) year of manufacturing experience

Skills

• Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to read and understand instructions
• Use of various tools ranging from common hand and power tools, saws, drills, and wrenches.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds, work in hot conditions and be comfortable working at heights up to 10ft
