Job summary

Balanced Body is a leading designer and manufacturer of Pilates equipment with a global footprint. The Manufacturing Assistant Supervisor will support the direction of the department, collaborate with the Supervisor, crew leaders, and Director to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals, and ensure the team has training, tools, and resources to complete tasks.

The role emphasizes maintaining production quality, scheduling and inventory awareness, and a safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years providing leadership.
• CNC experience is preferred either on vinyl, wood or metal products.
• Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with production scheduling, planning and/or inventory is highly preferred.
• Experience with receiving and sending parts is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Self-directed with the ability to keep up with a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent time-management and ability to prioritize changing tasks with a sense of urgency necessary to meet objectives and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for line planning daily, weekly and long-term.
• Responsible for the production quality of the department and inspection of incoming/outgoing product.
• Able to maintain equipment in good operational order by following operating instructions and established procedures, trouble-shooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies and performing preventive maintenance.
• Keep supplies ready by checking stock, anticipating needs and placing/expediting orders.
• Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by following our standards and policies, and legal regulations.
