Job summary

Kaba Ilco, a part of dormakaba, seeks an Assistant Controller to manage financial reporting, close processes, inventory and cost accounting, and regulatory compliance at its NC manufacturing facility. The role partners with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance leadership to maintain timely, accurate financial information and robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, product costing, and manufacturing accounting principles.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial reporting platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure governmental reports are completed and submitted on time.
• Maintain accuracy of balance sheet accounts with timely reconciliations.
• Assist in AR/AP functions and back up Credit Supervisor.
• Support reporting system setup to produce accurate monthly P&L statements.
• Assist monthly close and ensure data accuracy for timely closing.
• Develop forecasts and budgets by revising performance records.
• Ensure proper account distribution for expenses and assets.
• Assist in determining annual cost center absorption rates.
• Assist with year-end physical inventory to balance inventories.
• Oversee OneStream activities and accounting procedures.
• Serve as backup for Industrial Controller, Cost Accounting Manager, and Payroll tasks.
• Support special projects as assigned.
