Job summary

MOD-PAC Corp. is seeking a Manufacturing and Electrical Technician to maintain and repair mechanical equipment and electrical systems. Ideal candidates will have vocational training and a relevant electrician's license, as well as the ability to work flexible hours including overtime.

Qualifications

• Relevant vocational training or equivalent experience.
• Current electrician's license preferred.
• Ability to safely operate specific tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on machines and mechanical equipment.
• Conduct electrical installation and repair work.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes during work.

Skills

Description

Perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting, boiler making, insulating, welding, machining, carpentry, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment, and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs. In addition, this position has responsibility for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring that work is in accordance with relevant codes.

Requirements

• Relevant vocational training,
• Current electrician's license preferred,
• Or an equivalent amount of education and experience,
• Functional knowledge of flash arc protection equipment,
• Ability to properly and safely operate conduit benders and other position-specific equipment,
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow schematics,
• Capability to program drives and PLCs,
• Functional knowledge of electrical codes,
• Ability to safely and properly operate tools and equipment necessary for the position,
• Ability to work overtime as required.
