• Valid driver's license; New York State motor vehicle inspector certificate preferred.

Thermo King Northeast currently has an opening for a full-time 2nd shift (Noon - 8 : 00 PM) Transport Refrigeration Technician at our Buffalo, NY location.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Perform preventive maintenance & service inspections on a variety of transport refrigeration units (TRU) & auxiliary power units (APU)
• Perform diagnostic, repair work on mobile refrigeration equipment, auxiliary power units & heater equipment
• Follow established technical & administrative processes
• Complete repair orders & parts usage forms
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members, & customers
• Remain current on technical & regulation requirements
• Perform road service calls as required

Position Requirements :

• 5 years' experience in the field of refrigeration / HVAC equipment installation and / or repair
• Skills to sufficiently install, diagnose and repair refrigeration equipment
• Demonstrate technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, materials, methods & equipment to perform, prioritize and complete job assignments
• Own & maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions
• High school diploma or equivalent, technical trade school a plus
• Proficient with computer operation / usage
• Valid driver's license
• A New York State motor vehicle inspector certificate is preferred but not required
