Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer – Factory Intelligence to build applications and data-driven tools for engineering and factory teams. You will turn manufacturing and test data into insights, supporting investigations, reducing variation, and enabling faster decisions.

You will work with web apps, Python data processing, databases, APIs, data visualization, and statistics. This hybrid role is based in Andover, MA with limited on-site requirements and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional software development experience using at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Perl, C, or a similar language.
• U.S. Citizen - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience working collaboratively to solve technical problems and deliver software solutions.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications that help users explore and understand factory and test data.
• Develop data visualization and analytical tools that make complex manufacturing data easier to interpret.
• Build Python and other software solutions to transform, standardize, and analyze data from a variety of engineering and test systems.
• Develop and integrate applications with relational databases, APIs, and other enterprise systems.
• Work directly with engineers, factory personnel, and other stakeholders to understand problems and turn them into effective software solutions.
