Job summary

CFS is seeking an Accounting Manager in Dayton, OH (on-site) to oversee manufacturing accounting operations and ensure accurate reporting. The role carries responsibility for strong controls, close processes, and process improvements within a multi-site environment.

You will lead a 4–6 person team across AP, AR, Staff, and Senior Staff Accounting, collaborating with site leadership to standardize practices and enhance accountability. Salary ranges between $100k and $120k.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team management experience.
• Solid accounting background with manufacturing context.
• Manufacturing accounting experience required.
• Multi-site experience required.
• Strong financial reporting, controls, audit, and close experience.
• Proven ability to build structure and documentation where processes are not yet standardized.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including trial balances, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Lead month-end, semi-annual, and year-end close.
• Manage tax activities and support audits.
• Strengthen internal controls and standardize/document accounting processes.
• Lead a team of 4–6 across AP, AR, Staff, and Senior Staff Accounting.
• Partner with site leadership to ensure consistent accounting practices across locations.
• Serve as a hands-on Accounting Manager focused on accuracy, process improvement, and accountability.
