Job summary

Inovar Packaging Group in Irving, TX, is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting for assigned manufacturing units, including general ledger, reconciliations, payroll, invoicing, and month-end close. This role partners with the Controller and plant leadership to drive accuracy and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Experience with general accounting including journal entries, reconciliations, payroll, and month-end close.
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal accounting controls.
• Manufacturing accounting experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems; familiarity with AI and automation tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• High level of accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Complete assigned month-end close activities for controller review within 3 days.
• Support financial and management reporting.
• Oversee customer invoicing, cash application, collections, vendor invoices, ACH and check runs, and company credit card reconciliation.
• Set up approved customers and vendors.
• Process and post biweekly payroll and respond to routine payroll inquiries.
• Support accounting for raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods inventory.
• Assist with physical inventories, cycle counts, standard costs, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, Corporate policies, internal controls, and sales-tax requirements.
• Support internal and external audits and assist with corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, standardization, and automation.
• Partner with Operations, Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, and plant leadership to resolve accounting issues.
• Support other accounting tasks, transactions, and functions as needed.
• Complete special projects assigned by the Controller.
