Job summary

South Bay Solutions in Fremont, CA is seeking an Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller to own daily accounting operations and the financial close process. You will ensure accurate records, timely reporting, and strong internal controls for inventory, WIP, manufacturing costs, and cost of sales.

Lead the AP/AR teams, supervise the accounting staff, and collaborate with executives to set priorities and strengthen accounting processes within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Experience leading month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience with manufacturing accounting, WIP, inventory, cost of sales.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close including journal entries and accruals.
• Maintain GL integrity and reconciliations, prepare financial statements for management.
• Lead AP/AR oversight and team performance; enforce controls and accuracy.
• Identify variances and document corrective actions related to manufacturing costs and ERP data.
• Support finance leadership with forecasting, budgeting, and process improvements.
