Ellwood Quality Steels seeks an Accountant to oversee and coordinate all accounting functions, reporting to the Controller. The role supports manufacturing operations, cost accounting, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities include general ledger management, month-end close, A/R, inventory control, and inter-company reconciliations, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and controls. Join a family-owned leader in steel production with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years' accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of accounting practices and willingness to grow in the field.
• Excellent Excel skills and PC literacy.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsabilités

• Perform general ledger, journal entries, month-end close, A/R, etc.
• Work with Controller to understand ledgers and costing.
• Prepare monthly reports and charts (sales, use tax, projects).
• Inventory control and annual reconciliations; inter-company reconciliations.
• Maintain vendor documentation (W-9, W-8BEN).
• Assist Controller with yearly reporting (R&D tax credit, 1099s).
• Complete special projects and provide backup for accounting functions.
• Ensure financial records reflect the company's position; follow safety rules.
