Job summary

Movement Search and Delivery is partnering with a Global Auto Company in the Metro Detroit Area to identify and evaluate an Accountant. On-Site role with a base salary of $70,000 – $85,000 plus bonus, supporting general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
• 2–5 years of accounting experience
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience
• Experience in preparing account reconciliations and journal entries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support inventory accounting and related analysis
• Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Collaborate with operations and finance teams to support business objectives
