Job summary

Venteon is seeking an Accounting Manager in the Northern Metro Detroit area. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA preferred, and at least 5 years of increasing financial responsibility, including 3 years in manufacturing.

You will oversee financial analysis, budgeting, and GAAP compliance. Responsibilities include delivering accurate financial reports, cash flow projections, and system-wide accounting expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA is preferred, not mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of increasing financial responsibility with at least 3 years in manufacturing.
• Experience with GAAP, financial analysis, cost accounting, forecasting and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide accurate analysis of financial data and reports with company leadership.
• Provide financial data and input based on established practices.
• Provide cash flow projections and reports to ensure operating needs are met.
• Offer expertise in billing, general ledger software, and accounting systems.
• Analyze financial information to evaluate performance and recommend cost reductions, program improvements, or policy changes.
• Direct or coordinate activities of departments related to production, pricing, sales, or inventory.
• Review information submitted by staff to ensure accurate reporting and suggest changes.
• Communicate with external stakeholders including customers, the public, and government agencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Accounting Manager

• Work with the company leadership and affiliated personnel to develop and provide accurate analysis of financial data and financial reports.
• Provide financial data and input based on established practices.
• Provide cash flow projections and reports to ensure operating needs of the entities are available.
• Provide expertise in billing, general ledger software, and overall general knowledge of accounting systems, databases and master files.
• Analyze financial information to assist in the evaluation of performance of the company in meeting objectives; recommend areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.
• Direct or coordinate activities of businesses or departments concerned with production, pricing, sales, or inventory.
• Review information submitted by staff members or other entities to ensure accurate reporting and/or recommend changes.
• Communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
