Job summary

Tech Talent Express is seeking an Accountant with hands-on manufacturing experience to join our finance team and support production cost accounting, inventory, and related financial processes.

You will manage month-end close, ensure GAAP adherence, and maintain strong internal controls while collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver reliable financial data for management decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Accounting experience within a manufacturing company is required (cost accounting, inventory, or production-related finance experience)
• Solid understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and general ledger accounting
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain general ledger activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and support AP/AR processes
• Complete bank reconciliations, cash flow tracking, and account analysis
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with a strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures
• Assist with inventory accounting, including WIP, cost of goods sold, and production-related expenses
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for management review
• Use accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and help mentor junior accounting staff as needed
