Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. in Wisconsin seeks a skilled welder to support manufacturing operations. You will set up manual weld machines, review prints, load parts, weld per specifications, and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up manual weld machine or download program per set up sheet instructions.
• Verify proper filler, tooling, and gas flow is prepared in the robot or staged in manual area per set up instructions.
• Review weld requirements from weld prints (size, spacing, location, etc.).
• Load and locate parts into tooling per print and work instructions.
• Weld parts per customer provided prints.
• Remove weld spatter and scale from finished parts.
• Perform quality checks per set up sheet.
• Maintain welding equipment and keep work area orderly and clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Some physicaldemand;often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
• May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
