Job summary

Atlantic Track & Turnout Co. is seeking a skilled machinist to operate and adjust milling machines on site in Richmond, IL. You will set offsets, assemble cutters, and manage tooling with crane assistance while ensuring parts meet drawings and quality standards.

The role requires 2+ years of machining experience, the ability to read production drawings, and willingness to work overtime. FANUC CNC familiarity is a plus, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of machining experience.
• Knowledge of feeds, speeds and chip load.
• Ability to read production drawings.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• On-site availability in Richmond, IL.

Responsibilities

• Run and adjust conventional milling machines, including offsets.
• Assemble cutters to holders and index inserts.
• Use an overhead crane to load and unload parts.
• Measure, verify, and document quality to spec and drawing.
• Support troubleshooting with program, tooling, or machine issues.
