Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Windsor, CT is seeking an Advanced CNC Machining Technician to own complex milling setups and ensure first-article approval. You will read blueprints, interpret prints and specs, operate 3–4 axis VMC mills from Makino/Okuma/Haas, and push for tight tolerances while maintaining a clean, safe work cell.

Bring high school diploma or machining credential and proven CNC milling experience; strong attention to detail and teamwork in a high-tempo environment are essential.

  • Proven CNC machining experience with emphasis on milling operations.
  • Comfortable interpreting prints and technical documentation.
  • Quality-first mindset with sharp attention to detail.
  • Ability to work solo or with a team in a high-tempo environment.
  • Proactive problem-solver who anticipates and addresses challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Own CNC mill setups from workholding to first-article approval.
  • Operate mills (and support lathes when needed) to meet tight tolerances.
  • Read and act on technical drawings and specs without ambiguity.
  • Inspect parts using gauges and precision instruments; record results and correct deviations.
  • Coordinate with engineering and production to streamline processes.
  • Keep your cell spotless and safe, following all safety protocols.
