Job summary

Eastey, a leading manufacturer of shrink packaging equipment, seeks a Manual Machinist to produce mechanical parts for production and prototypes using manual mills and lathes. You will work with the engineering team, follow production schedules, and maintain shop equipment to keep operations efficient.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, inspecting parts, tracking tooling, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of machining experience.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Proficient with measuring instruments and geometry/trigonometry concepts.
• Familiar with metal properties and CAD systems.
• Skilled in using Excel and various power tools.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Follow work orders and understand machine priorities from production lists.
• Pull materials from inventory and set up manual mills/lathes to produce parts.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop and fabricate new prototype parts.
• Interpret detailed drawings and sketches.
• Inspect finished parts and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Maintain equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Track tooling inventory and requisition necessary supplies.
• Record completed parts in spreadsheets.
• Participate in inventory cycle counts and update systems accordingly.
• Maintain general housekeeping of work area and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
