Job summary

TSE Industries, Inc. in Clearwater, Florida is seeking a Manual Machinist to set up, adjust and operate conventional and CNC machines. Experience with HAAS, Bridgeport style knee mills and manual lathes, pedestal and surface grinders is important.

You will study blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances and ensure quality finished parts. Responsibilities include selecting tools, setting controls, testing machine settings and collaborating with engineers to resolve

Qualifications

Certificate from a college or technical school; or three to twelve months related experience.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Experience with HAAS, Bridgeport knee mills and manual lathes.
Ability to perform machinist's math and interpret tolerances.

Responsibilities

Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances.
Measure, mark and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece.
Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders and fixtures.
Adjust speeds, feeds, coolant flow and cut depth; enter commands if CNC is used.
Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to resolve machining issues.
