Job summary

Hydro, Inc. in Cumming, GA seeks a skilled Manual Machinist to produce precision pump components in a job-shop environment. You will set up and operate manual lathes, VTLs, boring mills, and grinders, interpreting drawings to ensure exact tolerances and documenting measurements for the team.

You'll collaborate with engineers and other machinists to optimize procedures, maintain tools, and uphold safety standards in a clean, safety-focused shop.

Qualifications

• 5+ years post-training as a machinist in an industrial setting working on LARGE PARTS with manual machines.
• Journeyman status preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or vocational training in machining.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manually machine custom components for industrial pumps in a job-shop environment.
• Produce and finish impellers, wear rings, bearing housings, covers, and seals to exact specifications.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and sketches to determine the best machining plan.
• Measure critical features and document readings using inspection equipment.
• Maintain machine tools and shop equipment in top working order.
