Manual Machinist - 2nd shift - Avon, OH #(phone number removed)

2nd Shift

Hourly Rate: $24.85 - $27.23/HR - $1.50 shift premium - Permanent Position with Benefits.

Avon Manufacturing Company is seeking a Manual Machinist for their 2 nd Shift operations. Operate manual machines; lathes, mills, surface grinders, band saws and drill presses.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 4-year Class A apprenticeship
• 1-2 years' work experience beyond the apprenticeship
• Knowledge of blueprint reading
• Knowledge of tool room equipment
• Knowledge in the use of precision instruments
• Demonstrated math skills
• Knowledge of metal properties and abrasives
• Knowledge of the manufacturing process at overview level
• Knowledge of mechanical processes
• Shift hours - 3:30pm - 12:00am - OT as needed

DUTIES :

• Operating electronic or other machinery
• Regulating speed of machinery (other than transport)
• Adjusting machines
• Setting up equipment or machinery for operation
• Cleaning or oiling machinery
• Adjusting focus of visual device
• Operating machine controls (other than transport)
• Stopping machinery at precise point indicated
• Examine machinery/equipment to check working order
• Regular checking of machinery for maintenance

Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
