Qualifications

  • 2+ years manufacturing experience with production equipment.
  • 5+ years CNC Machining experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

8 hour shift - OT is offered but NOT required

Monday - Friday - 8:00AM - 4:30PM.

employees get 10 minute break in the morning and 10 minute break in the afternoon.

Basic Function

Our machinist works with our engineer to fabricate parts for the machines that we design and build. Our engineer will supply our machinist with drawings for all parts that need to be fabricated. They will collaborate on how assignments should be completed. The machinist also works with our maintenance and production teams, to repair and upgrade components for our manufacturing machines.

Manual Machinist Duties & Responsibilities:

Set up and operate machines: Use lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other tools to drill, cut, and shape materials

  • Read blueprints and specifications: Use blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) files to guide their work
  • Measure and inspect: Use precision tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure parts meet specifications
  • Maintain machinery: Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure machinery runs smoothly
  • Present finished work: Present finished workpieces to customers and make modifications if needed
  • Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in math
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks

Machinist Job Responsibilities:

  • Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines.
  • Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
  • Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
  • Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
  • Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignments.
  • Maintains inventory of completed products.
  • Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
  • Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

· Ability to make decisions independently with limited supervision.
