Qualifications

• Set up and operate manual milling machines to machine parts to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Select and install appropriate tooling, cutters, and fixtures.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Perform adjustments to ensure proper tolerances and quality standards.
• Works from schedules, shop orders, established procedures, blueprints, and specifications.
• Identifies deviations that can potentially interrupt productivity.
• Maintains logs and other necessary documents.
• Works with direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual milling machines (Bridgeport) to produce precision parts per drawings.
• Read blueprints and interpret work instructions to insure quality.
• Set up tooling and fixtures and verify measurements during production.
• Maintain logs and quality records in accordance with procedures.
• Work under direct supervision and participate in continuous improvement.

Job description

The Manual Machinest is responsible for operating a variety of machines to perform assigned task. The Machine Operator II will produce precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements. This position will be based out of our metal working shop facility in Saugerties, NY.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

Salary

$22 - $27/hr
