AWC Indeed is seeking a skilled Manual Lathe Operator for onsite work in Colorado. This role focuses strictly on manual machining with no CNC programming. You will read blueprints, set up lathes, and perform manual adjustments to produce high-precision parts.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years hands-on experience operating manual lathes.
• Ability to manually control speeds, feeds and tooling.
• Blueprint reading and precision measurement proficiency.
• Experience with grinders and manual shop equipment preferred.
• Forklifts/overhead cranes experience a plus.
• Basic computer skills for time tracking only.
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently in a production setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machine tools including engine lathes.
• Set up machines and perform all adjustments manually including speeds, feeds, and tooling.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
• Select tooling, materials, and machining methods without automated programming.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
• Monitor machine performance and make real time manual adjustments to ensure quality.
• Maintain and calibrate manual equipment.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
• Support team members and assist with shop tasks as needed
