Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and mills per drawings and production needs.

• Monitor machine performance and adjust to maintain quality.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes.
• Maintain production and quality records; follow safety procedures.
• Collaborate with CNC specialists and the production manager.

Now hiring for a CNC Machine Operator

Location: Cincinnati, OH
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: 7 AM - 3:30 PM | Monday - Friday

Job Duties

• Operate CNC lathes and mills according to engineering drawings and production requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, routers, and work instructions to ensure part conformance
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes throughout production runs
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Follow all safety procedures and housekeeping requirements
• Use hand tools and perform deburring as required
• Work closely with CNC Specialists and Production Manager to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Communicate effectively with team members

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• 3 years of experience operating CNC machines or production equipment.
• Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation.
• Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards.
• Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Experience using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other inspection tools
• Ability to adjust machine offsets as needed
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred.
• Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a CNC Machine Operator.
• Experience with conversational controls and general machine shop equipment

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
