Job summary

PeopleShare by PROMAN is seeking a Manual Machinist to set up and operate large manual lathes, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet specifications. Training provided during day shift with growth opportunities on site.

The role requires reading blueprints, using calipers, micrometers, and verniers for precise measurements, and performing in-process inspections. Health benefits and 401K are included; weekly pay and site training are available.

Qualifications

• Experience operating manual lathes in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• High School Diploma or Trade School Certification.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate large manual lathes to manufacture parts per blueprints.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints and production instructions.
• Use precision tools to measure parts and ensure tolerances are correct.
• Change tooling and complete machine setups independently.
