Mactech, Inc. is seeking a Manual Field Machinist to support projects across the United States. You will perform manual machining at customer job sites, operate mills and lathes, and read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to travel frequently
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments
• Reliable, team-oriented work ethic
• Valid driver's license
• Machinist, millwright, mechanic, or field service experience
• Blueprint reading experience
• OSHA or safety training background
• Full-time, Monday-Friday when in the shop (8:00 AM-4:30 PM)
• Field work: extended hours and long-duration assignments
• Steel mills, shipyards, power plants, renewable energy sites, and more

Responsibilities

• Perform manual machining at customer job sites across the U.S.
• Operate mills, lathes, line boring equipment, and specialty portable machines
• Read and interpret blueprints and job instructions
• Work safely in industrial, construction, and outdoor environments
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers
• Travel for extended periods - often 50%-75% of the time
• Work overtime, including 12+ hour shifts and 7-day work weeks when onsite
