Job summary

Emerson in Pasadena, TX is seeking a skilled Machinist to fabricate Fisher OEM control valve parts and repair field units to OEM specs. The role requires manual and CNC lathe/mill experience, GD&T ability, and safety focus.

Shift: 2nd (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) with a $1.00 shift differential; pay range $30.29–$43.18/hr, overtime available. Requirements include an associates degree in mechanics or 7+ years machining, 5+ years full-cycle experience, CAD/CAM MasterCam and SolidWorks proficiency, and

Qualifications

• Mechanical related Associates degree or 7+ years of machining and fabricating experience.
• Minimum 5 years of full-cycle machining experience, including programming, setup and operation.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM (MasterCam) & SolidWorks modeling.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal safety and maintain clean, organized work area.
• Set up, indicate, and machine raw material to OEM print dimensions.
• Cross-train on multiple machines including CNC lathes, mills, and HBMs.
• Understand materials, tools, speeds/feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.
• Interpret GD&T per part drawings.
• Possible field assignments and travel as required.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

Job description

If you are a Machinist looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you based in Pasadena, TX! You will be responsible for fabricating Fisher OEM control valve parts using a variety of machining techniques and equipment. You will also repair parts from the field, returning them to OEM specifications. You must be familiar with manual and CNC lathe and mill operations. Safety and Quality of work are key components to this position!

• Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 AM (base pay + $1.00 shift differential)
• Pay Rate: $30.29 – $43.18 per hour, commensurate with experience (Overtime opportunity available)

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Be responsible for personal safety and for the safety of others. Must maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
• Set-up, indicate, and machine raw material (bar stock, forgings, and castings) to manufacture Fisher parts to OEM print dimensions.
• Cross-train on all machines to prevent lapse in production flow including but not limited to engine lathes, manual drills, horizontal bandsaws, CNC lathes, VTLs, HBMs, and CNC mills.
• Must understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.
• Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) per part drawings.
• Potential for field assignments using in-line machine. Some travel may be required.
• Adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Mechanical related Associates degree or 7+ years of experience with machining and fabricating.
• Minimum 5 years of full-cycle machining experience, including programming, setup, and operation of machines.
• Working knowledge of CAD/CAM (MasterCam) & SolidWorks’ modeling.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer relations skills are a must.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Welding knowledge preferred.
• Experience in the process control industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process related problems is strongly preferred.
