Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with valves, machining, welding or fabricating.
• Experience with ERP systems; Oracle or similar ERP preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer relations skills.
• Personal computer experience strongly preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assemble new equipment or repair equipment.
• Document repair/testing/assembly activities with details.
• Inventory control: stocking, pulling parts, cycle counting, documentation.
• Provide technical assistance, troubleshoot, quote or disposition repairs.
• Participate in field service calls; overnight stays may be required.
• Assist with shipping and receiving when needed.
• Disassemble, clean, and evaluate parts.
• Surface prep and paint assemblies and parts.
• Complete final inspection reports.
• Adhere to safety, quality and company rules/regulations.
• Maintain personal safety and good housekeeping.
• Participate in Safety, Quality and Activities Committees.

If you are an experienced valve technician looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you based in Pasadena, Texas! Candidates will be Responsible for teardown, repair, new assembly, calibration, and diagnostics using Flowscanner of all brands of control valves and instruments, associated paperwork, valve diagnostics, digital control technology and the associated instrumentation such as AMS & Delta V, while working in shop environment with some field service as needed

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Assembly of new equipment or repaired equipment.
• Documentation of repair / testing / assembly activities – cause of failure, actions taken, parts used, labor hours, etc
• Various inventory control responsibilities - stocking shelves, pulling parts, cycle counting, proper documentation of inventory transactions.
• Customer communication – technical assistance, troubleshooting, quoting / determining disposition of repairs.
• Participation in field service calls, as required, at customer sites. May require overnight stays from time to time.
• Assisting with Shipping & Receiving when needed.
• Disassembly, cleanup and evaluation of parts.
• Surface preparation and painting assemblies and parts.
• Final inspection and completion of inspection report.
• Adherence to all safety, quality, company rules and regulations.
• Responsible for personal safety and those around him/her. Can maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
• Participation and involvement in Safety, Quality and Activities Committees.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• 5+ years of experience with valves, machining, welding or fabricating. Less than 5 years of experience will only be considered for internal candidates.
• Experience with ERP systems required; Oracle or similar ERP system experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer relations skills are a must.
• Personal Computer experience strongly preferred
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Experience in the process control industry is a plus
• Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process related problems is strongly preferred
