Job summary

FDC Machine Repair Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Manual boring mill Machinist to join our team. We rebuild/repair metal forming equipment for a variety of customers in the metal forming industry.

You will read blueprints, adjust equipment with precision tools, and ensure final products meet exact specifications while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety and quality. This on-site role requires attention to detail and reliability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a manual machinist (we do not house CNC machines).
• Read blueprints or job orders and make minor adjustments as needed to fulfill requirements
• Use precision tools to take accurate measurements
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints or job orders and make adjustments to equipment as needed, often with precision tools
• Check final products for accuracy, and make adjustments to machines as needed to ensure the best final product
• Strong mechanical knowledge
• Ability to perform OD & ID machining on multiple types of steel and bronze
• Experience with both small and larger materials
• Monitoring machine speeds and feed, material rotation, depth cuts
• Ability to adjust equipment for out of tolerance. Report any malfunctions with supervisors
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environment
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Adheres to safe working practices
