An Over-the-Phone Interpreter (OPI) / Video Remote Interpreter (VRI) at Future Group Translation and Localization Services provides accurate communication between non-Albanian and Albanian speakers during calls. They offer exclusive services across various fields and industries, ensuring transparency during conversations.

Must Have Requirements:

• Security Clearance (if not available, we will assist in obtaining it)
• Citizenship or Green Card

Your responsibilities:

• Answer calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.
• Be prepared to take notes during calls.
• Familiarize yourself with industry-specific vocabulary, especially healthcare and medical terms.
• Render messages accurately and completely, without alterations.
• Provide excellent customer service during interpreting.
• Facilitate communication between Limited Albanian Proficient speakers and clients by providing accurate interpretation.
• Participate in internal training and seek new certifications.
• Communicate and report to your team leader.
• Follow dress code requirements for video interpreting.

Your background and experience:

• Fluent in Albanian and native in French.
• At least 1 year of over-the-phone interpretation experience.
• Good knowledge of medical terminology.
• Legal terminology knowledge is a plus.
• Healthcare industry certifications are advantageous.
• High school diploma in your native language.
• High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory skills.

Technical requirements:

This position is fully remote; ensure your home office meets the following:

• Dedicated, high-speed, secure internet (minimum 10 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload).
• Wired Ethernet connection (Wi-Fi not permitted).
• Windows 10 or higher, with at least a dual-core 2 GHz processor, 8 GB RAM.
• Single device (no external devices like phones or tablets).
• External monitors if needed.
• Operate in "High Performance" mode, with power adapter plugged in.
• No Chromebooks.
• Use noise-canceling, wired headset with a microphone (no Bluetooth).
