Job summary

A global financial services organization is seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to support and lead Security Operations Center activities. You will oversee real-time security monitoring and incident response while providing day-to-day leadership to SOC associates during assigned shifts.

The role also supports broader cybersecurity initiatives across security operations, vulnerability management, identity and access management, governance, compliance and information-security risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• 4+ years of professional experience.
• 3+ years in cybersecurity, information security, vulnerability management, security architecture, networking, or systems administration.
• 3+ years of risk-management experience.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Understanding of FFIEC, GLBA and NIST.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, firewalls, UNIX/Linux, and network architecture.
• Hands-on with SIEM, DLP, EDR, XDR.
• Ability to analyze networks and assess vulnerabilities.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 rotating SOC schedule.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate security events and alerts across enterprise systems and infrastructure.
• Investigate potential cybersecurity incidents and determine appropriate response.
• Contain and coordinate communications with stakeholders during incidents.
• Document security events, investigations, actions and outcomes.
• Lead SOC associates during shifts and ensure coverage and readiness.
• Support vulnerability management, IAM, and security governance activities.
• Assist with security audits, risk assessments and compliance work.
• Help implement organizational information-security policies and standards.
