Qualifications

• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain accuracy
• Ability to render concepts per interpretation protocols, avoiding omissions or additions
• Ability to explain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication

Notepads, writing utensils, glossaries, and dictionaries are useful tools.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Fluency inEnglish and Mandarin
• Minimum2 year of interpretation experience
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy
• Ability to render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocols, avoiding omissions or additions
• Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication, with permission or at the request of the client
