ChristianaCare’s Language Services team seeks a Casual Mandarin Medical Interpreter to support patients and caregivers on-site. You will interpret across appointments, assessments, and family meetings, ensuring accurate medical communication.

Qualifications

• Advanced-High proficiency in Mandarin and English.
• Successful completion of language competency testing.
• National certification as a Medical or Healthcare Interpreter highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpretation between Mandarin and English during medical appointments and related interactions.
• Interpret medical terminology while preserving meaning and intent.
• Serve as a linguistic and cultural resource for patients, families and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries per policy and ethics.
• Support on-call and emergency interpretation needs across hospitals.
