Job summary

Vital Materials Co., Limited in Bowling Green, Ohio is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer (bilingual Mandarin & English) to join the Maintenance Team. This hands-on role focuses on equipment reliability, troubleshooting, automation support, and implementing new equipment.

Responsibilities include designing and improving equipment, creating AutoCAD drawings, supporting installation and startup, driving safety and OEE improvements, and coordinating with suppliers in Mandarin and English.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
3-5 years of experience in manufacturing equipment engineering.
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D.
Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, VFDs, motors, machine safety systems.
Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English.
Strong Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) understanding and safety practices.
Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, RCA, and CI.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, modify, and improve manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
Create and modify equipment drawings using AutoCAD.
Support equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and qualification.
Drive improvements in safety, reliability, quality, productivity, and throughput.
Support automation and equipment improvement projects.
Own equipment performance throughout its lifecycle.
